The feminists are notorious for their insinutation that women and children are the primary victims of war, however they fail to acknowledge that the vast majority of civilian casualties happen to be men and boys.
Casualties of Land-Mine Accidents
According to a Red Cross Study about Land-Mine Casualties in Afghanistan, 92.7% of the victims were male.
The issue is quite problematic in Afghanistan, which is a small nation that contains only 20,000,000 people, yet at least 4% of the population have been disabled by land-mines, with 750,000 of those victims being men and boys. - (1)

It would appear as if the Governments of the Western world do not care about the innocent civilian men and boys in Afghanistan who are affected by land-mine explosions, yet people are VERY concerned about the fact that Afghani women are required to wear derogatory clothing to cover their skin. While the forcing of a woman - or any entity for that matter - to wear such restrictive clothing is an injustice that needs to be corrected, surely the welfare and safety of the civilian men and boys should be considered of greater concern.
In the year of 2004, Landmine Monitor identified over 6,521NEW land-mine/UXO casualties, and their study produced the following data:
| Land-Mine Casualties In 2004 | |
Total Number of Caualties: 6,521 |
|
| Men | 5,020 (76.98%) |
| Children | 1,262 (19.35%) |
| Women | 239(3.66%) |
The following citation is from the Landmine Casualties and Survivor Assistance, Landmine Monitor Report 2005:
"Comprehensive data on landmine/UXO casualties continues to be difficult to obtain, particularly in countries experiencing ongoing conflict, or with minefields in remote areas, or with limited resources to monitor public health services. The sources used to identify new casualties include databases, government records, hospital records, media reports, surveys, assessments and interviews. Landmine Monitor identified over 6,521 new landmine/UXO casualties in calendar year 2004, including at least 1,262 children (19 percent) and 239 women (four percent). [3] Twenty-five percent of the reported casualties were identified as military personnel. [4] A Survey Action Center analysis of Landmine Impact Surveys in 13 countries since 2000 indicates that 96 percent of all “recent” casualties were civilian, 24 percent were children under 15 years-of-age and 12 percent were female." - (2)
Civilian Casualties of War
According to the data that has been compiled by the Israeli and Palestinian sources, the vast majority of civilian casualities happen to be male, as can be evidenced by the following graphs. (3)
The following data confirms the fact that the majority of civilian casualies happen to be male:

The Problem
Resolution 1325 of the UN states that women and children are the primary victims of war, however the act does not provide a single citation to any form of objective evidence that can verify the claim. An abundance of evidence has shown that the vast majority of civilians who are victimised during war happen to be the men, however it is doubtful as to whether the UN would provide a citation to anything that doesn't adhere to their anti-male agenda. - (4)
