Melanie Jacobs believes that Paternity Fraud should not be considered a crime; as she believes such an act ensures the best interests of the child which nullifies the fact that the act involves a woman fraudulently extracting money from a male who is not the biological father of the child that he is forced to support.
In fact, even if there is DNA evidence to prove the accused male is NOT the biological father of the child in question Ms Jacobs still retains her belief that the law system should continue enforcing him to financially support that child.
Apparently Ms Jacobs has the belief that the enforcement of such a law is crucial as it ensures that the best interest of the children is made the highest priority. In order words, such reasoning suggests that the act of paternity fraud MUST be overlooked with the female being given impunity for her fraudulent actions while being entitled to receive child support from the male she falsely accused of fathering.
Logic and reasoning would suggest that such a stance would be detrimental to the child’s welfare; as the alienation of a child from their biological father would deny both parties the opportunity to bond with each other during the most crucial stage of a child’s life. The psychological and physical hardships that the child and biological father would sustain from such alienation could never be compensated.
The best interests of the child would allow:
- The child to know who his/her biological father is from birth
- The child to grow up with his/her biological father from birth
The child being able to enjoy his/her childhood without having to believe a stranger is his/her biological father, a lie that was perpetrated by the child’s very own mother.
According to Melanie Jacobs, the best interest of the child is for him/her to believe a stranger is the biological father for the following reason:
- A man who found out that he is not the biological father of the child he is supporting would most likely cease all contact with the child; an action that would cause the child to develop emotional distress.
The problem with her reasoning is the fact a mother who resorts to intentionally deceiving her child into believing a stranger is the biological father of her own child is the most harmful act imaginable for the following reasons:
- She’s preventing her child from knowing & bonding with his/her biological father
- She’s preventing the biological father from knowing & bonding with his child
Once a child learns that their biological father is unknown to them, they will feel confused, hurt, shocked and angered based on the fact their own mother perpetrated such a cruel and deceiving act. However the effects of not telling the child the truth about who their biological father is would produce fat more devastating effects on the child’s life.
For example, if the child required an organ transplant to survive, there is a good chance the child may possess the same blood type as the biological father, and if so the biological father may be the only person who would be a compatible organ donor.
Even if the child did not require an organ transplant, there child could learn that their biological father is unknown to them. For example all it takes is for the child to access a document which presents proof that the person they believe to be their father is actually a stranger. Testimonies from relatives and family friends also have a way of reaching the child.
Another area of concern is the fact the bonding between parent and child has a crucial influence on how the child’s life will turnout. Therefore denying the child the right to bond with their father will have devastating effects on the life of the child. Statistics show that children from single mother households tend to develop mental illness, resort to crime, fall pregnant and take drugs at a higher rate than children who live with both of their parents.
The other concern is mothers who perpetrate paternity fraud are committing a fraudulent act. The psychological and physiological suffering that the males who are falsely accused of fathering the children of these mothers develop is immense. The financial loss that these males experience is so great that their entire lifestyle has to be altered so that they can earn enough to support these women; and if they don’t earn the required amount they are then imprisoned.
Parenting requires both a mother and a father, as statistics have proven; therefore any mother who denies her child being part of their fathers’ life is severely disadvantaging her child.
As Paternity Fraud is an act that severely oppresses males and involves women committing fraud, it would be hard for a fascist to defend such an act. Therefore claiming the act is in the best interest of the children is the most likely way a fascist can try to portray the act as being acceptable.
Such methods were used by Adolf Hitler who stated the following:
“The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation.” Adolph Hitler
