The two guys whose names were mentioned, Benjamin Freedman and Jack Bernstein - simply mentioned with regard to their research on who the elite in fact are was enough to send Alex Jones into a screaming rage.  Good for a hoot.

He's kind of a fringe guy. Some of what he says is doubtless true and he has to reach a certain element by such rhetoric.
Others of his ideas just ain't right. There is a conspiracy but everything isn't a part of it.

Please don't misunderstand me.  I'm not on a "nail Alex Jones" vendetta.  I've viewed portions of his work and I'm not dismissing it all as bogus.  But disinfo is a bit more subtle than that.  I have to ask myself what the effect of what he emits has.  His work appears to be calculated to emit an angry "rise up and lash out" response.  Were I the elite, I'd want firebrands rising up here and there for at least a couple of reasons.  One would be to smoke them out so they can be picked off one by one and another for a pretext to impose martial law and green light paramilitary death squads - giving the police even more latitude with "discretionary powers".  A significant portion of the populace would support this because now these folk who buy into "ridiculous, silly" conspiracy theories will now be viewed as dangerous, menacing hotheads who do indeed pose a threat. Those who do have a sense of organized evil at work and who reject the lying MSM hence can be readily discredited.  Another thing that gets clouded is how one can take measures as an individual and in concert with other aware citizens to counter the totalitarian agenda.  One example could be simply supporting local food producers, then local producers of anything useful for that matter.

One thing I've learned is to avoid getting caught up in contagious emotionalism.  An instance comes to mind of how, during the battle between the Duke of Wellington and Napoleon the Rothchilds spread the false rumour around the London Stock Exchange of how Napoleon was victorious.  They cleaned up by scooping solid securities that panicked sellers dumped for pennies on the pound.  A book published in 1850 gives various accounts of this type of mass phenomena, including the long hair/facial hair issue that I used to think started with the hippies.  It's called Extraordinary Popular Delusions and the Madness of Crowds.

Mass suspicion seems to be the problem of today. Everything is a conspiracy which is part of another conspiracy that works with yet aother conspiracy....
Some of that is being delibreately fed so people will grasp at anything that seems to give hope or even just structure.
And the irony is that nothing has really broken down enough yet to warrant such fear.
